Today Sunrise /Sunset rules go into effect.
No fishing with line with more than a single hook. The line may not have a hook larger than 1/2 inch from shank to point, or lure having more than a single hook larger than 1/2 inch from shank to point. Double and treble hooks are prohibited. These regulations apply to the following areas:
Very slow walleye bite yesterday. We did see some evening action. I saw at least 3 caught at jerome rd rapids after 5 pm and some brought into the shop from Bluegrass Island around the same time . We had reports of only a few being caught during the day , and those were at Jerome rd rapids , bluegrass island and button wood areas. We are in the midst of a much needed rain system  today . The rain missed us yesterday.  Once this rain brings the water level up we should see a significant change in the numbers of walleye moving upriver.
Even though the water is low the current has begun to increase and the water level will rise throughout the day.  Continue to use a  36- 48 inch leader , probably a slighly heavier weight , 5/8- 3/4 or 1 oz  should keep the lure bouncing on the bottom. With the overcast day day try some of the stick with some of the darker colors .
COLORS: Orange head/ Xmas lights tail –  Red head/ shimmer shad tail  – green head/ chartrusse firetail –  black head/purple metalic flake tai  See attached photo
Keep in mind that we also have all colors available in the slightly larger 4 in tails. More visible and gives a better vibration  in this murky water
