Wind and Mayflies are what we are dealing with in the general area right now – Friday, Saturday and Sunday should be nice to spend out by the body of water of your choice.
LAKE ERIE: Eh- wind and mayflies have made it a bit tough to get into anything really good. But we need the cycle of mayflies to feed our walleye and perch. Seeing a few of each being pulled out . Its only going to get better.
stocked up on michigan stinger and all sorts of perch rigs and gear.
Fish cleaning available daily at the Lakeside shop
MAUMEE RIVER: Still hearing that catfish have been pretty easy to catch just dropping a worm on the bottom. Plenty of big greasy shad in stock for bait .
LAKE ERIE: Close into shore is pretty muddied up so most boats are having to travel out a bit of a distance to get past the mud line. Spoons and crawler harnesses have been working very well for walleye. Bluegill and crappie
MAUMEE SHOP: The river is at the perfect level for kayaking downstream. Stocked up on all sorts of fishing gear and plenty of live bait.
GRAND RAPIDS SHOP: Same here -in the beautiful town of Grand Rapids the Maumee river’s at the perfect level for some weekend kayaking. And we finally got a little minnow l tank to try and keep shiners to add to our live bait menu. Grand Rapids also has a full stocked showroom of kayaks at blowout prices stop in and check them out.
LAKESIDE SHOP: we are open daily at 6 AM, Fish cleaners available every single day. A fully stocked tackle shop, to include beer, wine , snacks and lottery. Got some kayaks here too
