Maumee River report – 14 april , 2021

Wading to Bluegrass Island is permitted

The bite was a little slower today, even though the river is still full of walleye. Hope that today is much better, even though everybody that went out at least got one or two yesterday we’re still hoping for some of those days where we’re pulling them in one after another like we had last weekend.   The river crested yesterday so it looks like a lot of those fish that are coming in from the lake should be more accessible.

 

Even though Dave is overlook has limited parking, it is one of the best spots to fish give you access to deeper water, the tip of bluegrass island, and you can hike over to fort meigs if you want.

Pink head white tail, green head pink tail were two of the colors that seem to be working very well the last couple of days. The weather looks to be good today so take advantage of it and come on out and hit the river.

Shipment of 30 kayaks delivered last night, stop in and check them out.
