I know, I know you have work and commitments during the week… No biggie -come on by the shop and we’ll write you a note so you don’t get in trouble for playing hooky.
Fishing report:
The catfish have been very active the last couple of weeks. The Maumee River is just a little below morning this morning with the level slowly dropping- still a little muddy but is slowly clearing up. Most anglers are hitting the faster water with some rapids such as Jerome road Rapids, bluegrass/ buttonwood area, and up by the Grand Rapids dam… Starting to pick up some smallmouth bass and even a saugeye or two.
Anglers have been getting a few white bass here and there, nothing on fire.
Lake Erie on the other hand, the boaters out there are doing very good. The walleye bite using bottom bouncers/ worm harnesses with the night crawler, and running crankbaits seem to be very productive.
A few crappie here and there still -heard a few guys were getting them in some of the local creeks.
