Its been a chilly spring – woke up today to 44 degrees .
The colder weather has kept the temperature in the river from getting too hot, that means we had a good long white bass run, there’s still some in there by the way, the catfish and white perch are still biting, and we’re seeing some nice smallmouth bass pulled out as well.
It’s live bait season so if you toss out something wriggly, icky, and/ or stinky your chances of catching on fish are pretty good.
We have some nice stinky shad for cut bait to catch those catfish.
Leeches are on order so we should have them by the middle of the week, and of course wax worms, red worms, nightcrawlers, green worms and minnows.
Its kayak season as well , call to check out our rentals and special events .
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing.
