Maumee River report 21 April 24

SUNRISE/ FIRST CAST- 6:45 am

SUNSET/ LAST CAST- 8:22 pm

WEIGHT: 5/8- 3/4 oz

Leader length  bout 5 ft

BLUEGRASS ISLAND:  Crossing to bluegrass Island  is not permitted as of this morning . Real close, still just a bit  high

Seeing some big females being brought in.  Lots of walleye on the river – still worth the trip

Buttonwood , ford street and Jerome rd will all be likely places to try with today’s water levels.

I know one guy and his buddies that when the situation gets like this and we have some cold nights he switches to lead heads so that he is moving closer to the bottom of the water column. Also a lead head with half of a night crawler on it can spark that bite as well, that little bit of juiciness and scent helps.
