Still picking up some walleye at Bluegrass Island. Faster water is the key, bunch of white bass as well. They seem to be pretty full in thick in all spots around the river. If we get some rain it’ll cool the river down a shade here , also bring a bunch more Fish .
Some nice fat catfish been biting-The Big Cats are starting to get aggressive as the water warms and they begin they spring hunt in earnest.
For those big cats over 20 lbs my buddie “Big Mike ” always recommends CPR- “Catch Photo- Release” While it is legal to keep the big ones its pretty cool to know that those old guys are in there and to give some one else a chance to get the fish of a lifetime. After meeting a lot of catfish anglers, I would like to thank the catfishing community for showing how much they truly care about the future of the sport.
Don’t forget about Fort mags and Davis overlook those are two good spots to get into all sorts of species.
