maumee river report- 4 april 2025

5 ft leader and   1 to 1 -1/2  oz weight- maybe more

Bluegrass Island- Too high. The water is up – crossing is NOT permitted. –

 

 

Whoa! That river came up almost 9 feet in the last 36 hrs. We are at flood stage. Be aware of how high and fast this river is moving .  Give it a day for all the big trees, branches , lawn furniture and stuff in general to blow thru and clear out. Once the river settles  It will be packed full of walleye.

Some fish were picked up yesterday but it was very tough with the water moving so fast. If your going to try today ,don’t wade , just fish from shore. 

Short cast – all the fish are probably within 5-10 ft of the shoreline.
