Congratulations to Mike Plotts–Winning last weeks big jack contest with a 8.21 lbs walleye
River level is at 583.5 ft above sea level ,and slightly fluctuate through out the day
With yesterdays slightly high water conditions we saw a bunch of limits come out of the river , Monday being relatively productive as the water began to recede and some of the debris was cleared out. Most anglers at least got singles and and doubles.
Today the water level is down another foot from yesterday but still not low enough to safely wade to Bluegrass Island. All this water and the rain we got last night has continued to bring in wave after wave of fresh walleye. The high water has kept fishermen restricted to a few safe places to fish. Not so today–spread out. Try Buttonwwod, Ft. Meigs , the Towpath, Jerome rd Rapids, Schrders farm , Ford street .maybe get try one spot you have never been to before and where nobody is stadning, you might be suprised. With the lower water all these fish are much more accessible.
Be safe, Have Fun and good luck fishing
