Maumee River Report- august 28 , 2020

Even though the river is super low, we are seeing a few of the resident walleye and saugeye being caught.  Maybe the cooler nights last week have them a little more active. Crack of dawn and sunset on into the night are the best time as walleye are  primarily nocturnal. Shad style crank baits have been working best. Remember walleye will typically move up to shallower flats, bars or points to gorge on available forage at night.
