maumee river report- happy easter – 20 april 2025

Bluegrass Island- Crossing is permitted

 

open 6 am as usual

Still smakin ’em out there in the river. Been a solid week of good fishing and I see no reason that today should be different.

 

Jerome rd rapids, Bluegrass Island, and Buttonwood were great yesterday.

We saw limits within an hour yesterday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Easter everyone – Each year I refer to this  particular bible verse ,its remind me that we belong to a special group . 

Luke 5:4-7 “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch. Simon answered,Master(Jesus), we’ve worked hard all night and havent caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets. When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.”

With out getting too theological I take away two simple things from this. First – Even the Apostles themselves got skunked and needed Jesus help to catch some fish. And second, That a good portion of Jesus friends were fishermen just like us.
