We are going to open a little early today in case anybody wants to stop by and grab some gear and try and catch an early walleye.
Way early runners and/or residents, Whatever you wanna call them, we saw 15-20 fish brought up to the shop yesterday. Sunshine, moon phase, barometric pressure, and all that water from snow melt and rain last week all created conditions that sparked some walleye action.
We heard tell of fish caught it just about all the usual spots, Jerome Rd., Rapids, Bluegrass Island, and Sidecut park area.
Now the real run won’t start for several more weeks however in the meantime..
Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing.
