maumee river:

very low water conditions. The catfish bite has been steady but not on fire. Doing best on the catfish in the deeper water, downtown Toledo,, and above the providence dam.
Smallmouth bass bite has been fair at best. Search out the pools below Rapids where the smallmouth are laying up waiting for some bait to be turned up and tossed their way. Crawfish plastics and small crank baits are working best.

TODAY
Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots. A slight chance of showers this morning. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.

TONIGHT
North winds 15 to 20 knots diminishing to 5 to 15 knots.

Yellow Perch anglers are doing well near the north and east ends of the Camp Perry firing range between A and D cans. South of Green Island and around the Toledo Harbor Light have also been successful locations. Water depths have varied but most are targeting 18-24’ of water. Spreaders or crappie rigs with minnow bait on or just off the bottom have produced the best catches. Yellow perch are averaging 8-10’’ long.
