BLUEGRASS ISLAND- NO CROSSING
This coming Saturday, April 11 is our Maumee river festival, along with our walleye tournament here at the shop. The real Doc will be here to check out your reels, and Josh the cutter will be there Cleaning fish
Wanna see something cool, go to our Facebook page and watch Josh clean 10 fish from straight outta the river to ready for the frying pan, in 7 min. Cheeks, no bones.
The water is dropping quickly, that means increased flow, be careful when entering the water it’s moving fast and can easily sweep your feet out from underneath you.
As far as Fishing, today let’s take a look at the tow path, Davis overlook, White St., Orleans, the pillars, and maybe, just maybe buttonwood.
The point is with the river dropping a lot more areas will open up and be accessible for Fishing .
Let’s use the large floating jig heads the next day or two, those larger heads give off a better vibration and that’s one of the main senses that Fish used when snapping up bait. Those red and black multicolor jigs just might be the right ticket for today. Little bit of bright and a little bit of dark to make the bait pop.
have fun, be safe, and good luck fishing
