Not much change in the conditions over the weekend. The water level has held at 586 ft which is still abot 4 ft over normal. It should begin do drop today and open up a few more places to fish. The slowest moving water in a high river will be close to the banks. And because the water gets a bit muddy after big a rain, the cleanest water will be found along the river’s edge as well. At the end of the line the best bait to use is a lively minnow or nightcrawler on a jig. I’ve fished like this many times and minnows give off more scent, more flash and more vibration as they try to get off the hook. In dingy waters this gives a fish something to zero in on.
Orleans park and white street areas produced a few white perch and bass over the weekend so those will still be the best areas t try today.
