Catfish bite is still good .In the last few days we have begun to see the fall crappie bite begin to pick up as the cool weather is drawing those crappie out of their deep-water haunts and back into the shallows. Small baitfish have had an entire summer to grow. So have the crappie that feed on them. So sometimes its a good idea to use larger baits when crappie fishing in the fall.
Bait not working? Change them. Few fish are as choosy about their lures as crappie. What works one day or in one hotspot may not work today. That’s why when fall crappie fishing, anglers stock up with lures in dozens of colors and sizes. Minnows can be a hassle, but they work when nothing else will. That’s why many experienced anglers tip their jigs with a live shiner Adding a minnow never hurts. If a spot that surrendered a few fish goes cold, don’t keep fishing it. There’s a good chance the crappie that remain on a shoreline or brush pile are spooked and won’t bite. They may settle down and start biting again after an hour or so.

Still a good bite out around Crane Reef and to the west from there a bit. Trolling Rattle Tots and Bandits
There is also a casting bite in close out front and on most of the reefs going on most are throwing spinners and crawlers and some crank baits
Rattle Tots were leading the way, but the Bandits, Jets and spoons, Taildancers, and Crawlers harnesses all producing fish
Perch:
Reports lately have been NW of W Sister Island, NW of A Can, between A & B Cans, Picket Fence, Flat Rock, and Crib Reefs. H and G Cans have been producing as well.
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing.
