The river has held steady at its current level for the last week , and this weekend is shaping up to be great for fishing, All of our local access areas have been producing good numbers of catfish and smallmouth bass. A good area to try now that the water level has stabilized is Grand Rapids area near the dam and Mary Jane Thurston Park. This area is know for its BIG Cats, resident walleye, crappie and smallmouth action.
LAKE ERIE
We had some warm humid weather over the weekend and thankfully the rain has let off . The  lack of emerald shiners seems to be the  big story at the lake. we have fat heads in stock which are a natural and local bait . They work just as well and remain active on the hook for a long time if hooked through the tail. We do have some frozen emerald shiners available just stop in and ask for them at the counter. Over the weekend perch fishermen did well at L-can, A-can and north of B can and the war buoy. Perch taken down around the intake were on the smaller size.  Still have a decent walleye bite from L-can clear past the intake. trolling Rattle Tots, and Tail dancers, and stinger spoons.
