We are fully stocked with lake Erie emerald shiners. A good mix of sizes.
We received another shipment of waxworms , spikes(maggots ) and mousies. Again we did not receive as many as we ordered so for now the bulk (250 ) tubs are still unavailable. 150 count limit per customer. –for now. I still have orders in with multiple suppliers, so we will try to keep up with demand thru the weekend.
Waxworms- are the larval stage of the Greater Wax Moth (Galleria Mellonella). They are excellent fishing bait especially when used as sunfish bait, perch bait, trout bait, crappie bait, bass bait, whitefish bait, and small channel catfish bait. Some days pan fish will hit nothing else.
Mousies-(rat tail maggots) make dynamite bait for trout, small bass, small channel catfish, whitefish and panfish such as perch, crappie and bluegill. Mousies are commonly used for ice fishing or in open water. Keep them fresh and lively by preventing them from freezing and change your bait frequently. Bait pucks kept in an inside pocket are popular and effective. Mousie use is not limited to winter fishing. Keep fish interested during the open water season by using mousies effectively. Especially after a weather front, or when heavily pressured, larger panfish will often respond to these tasty morsels when they will not respond to worms or minnows.
Spikes-Spikes are Maggots. They are used for fishing baittypically in cooler water temperature like in the fall, winter and spring. They are used to catch, Perch, Trout, Bluegill and Crappie.
Thanks for your patience.
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing
