Maumee River and Area Ice Fishing- Febuary 3 ,2019

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY-7 AM- 5PM

Maumee River

As pictured above is still frozen and locked up tight.  The next few days are going to warm up dramatically and even get a little bit of rain.  This will probably loosen up the river ice and get it moving in the next week or so.

Local Ice

Nothing but good reports all over the area. East harbor state park just past Port Clinton, OH seems like it is the place to be go get bluegill and crappie the last 2 days . Plenty of anglers are out there today as well. All the local pond and lakes have between 6-8 inches, and we had good reports from Evergreen , Sigurt, Delta reservoir and just about all the farm pond that anglers hit this weekend. Once the wind dropped off and the sun peeked out a little bit-the fish turned on. Wax worms or minnows jigged just off the bottom seems to be the ticket.

As we warm up in the area be careful-Ice that was stable yesterday may change quickly overnight and become very sketchy.

We still have plenty of minnows, and still have some wax worms left. Looking to get resupplied on waxies no later than Tuesday.
