So the last two or three days have been very slow, between the lack of rain and the high temperatures it really had the fishing slow-Even though there are a lot of fish in the water just about everybody that went out only came back with one or two.
BUT! Yesterday that changed, the day bite was the same -slow lots of singles and doubles but as soon as that weather system rolled in around 5:00 p.m. guys that hadn’t caught a single fish all day were getting their limits in an hour or less. That barometric pressure changed right before the rain came in and Bam! Fish On! It was amazing.
Shimmer shad with a black head looks just like a minnow in the water. White head / green tail, and yellow Head/ white tail are also some good combinations to try today.Â
Keep an eye out ,we finally got some rain so the river levels will start to rise. I’m pretty sure we’re going to see some good action today on through midweek has the water rises and brings in a nice fresh batch of walleye from the river.
Have fun ,be safe and good luck fishing.
