So check this one out. Every year we hear the story or two of an angler that catches a full string of walleye, the picture above is showing it actually happening. Bill had just finished getting his limit the other day, he and others kept snagging on something in the river- he hooked into it pulling it in and lo and behold a stringer full of six walleye. Crazy . So he snapped a picture and threw them back in. You never know why your going to pull out of there.
Cold night last night and looks like week of cold weather ahead of us.
Anglers that went out yesterday we’re hooking into them pretty good. We saw the first limit at 10:00 a.m., both at Buttonwood and Jerome road rapids. Not a whole lot of limits were caught but we did see a lot of doubles and triples pulled out yesterday a few females but mostly 18-20 inch jacks.
They are still in there. Seem that instaed of the big waves of walleye we typically se that this year has been a slow trickle effect in from the lake. Warmer water, low wayer levels all have something to do with it. Going to be cold this weekend, bundle up when you head out.
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing.
