Yesterday evening was probably the first comfortable(temperature wise) day fishing of the season.

Much better fishing today. Lots of fish caught.
Not everyone got a limit-lots of 1″s and 2’s
Some bigger jacks and nice sized females fresh from the lake .
Buttonwood and Davis overlook were the hot spots yesterday. Probably the same today.
Hasn’t been a whole lotta action at Jerome rd rapids but its due to pick up there soon.
The evening bite yesterday was much better than the morning bite. Coming off that cold , brutal winter it has taken some time for the water to warm and for those fish to get active.

The hot color isnt always bright and sparkly . Often the bait the fish are looking for mimic the natural baitfish and bugs they regularly eat. Green speckle, silver or red all paired with a black head can often trigger a bite.
