BLUEGRASS ISLAND: Open to cross
All right, all right -well the morning bite was pretty slow yesterday, however, once the sun warmed up the water, we started to see some action. Plus, it was warmer outside, so it was actually a pleasant day to hit the river. Saw a few caught on black head and white tail, or green head and green tail.
The rain we have coming should put a little more water in that river and bring a fresh push of fish in . Things are looking up, so hit your favorite local access area. Jerome road Rapids, Bluegrass Island, Davis overlook and of course Buttonwood. If you have a Kayak paddle on over to the island/peninsula there at Fort Meigs- that’s always been a great area. The ice from 2019 ground out the bottom so it’s still not possible to wade across.
