Bluegrass Island- Too high. The water is up – crossing is NOT permitted. –

When the water levels out and begins to drop the bite will be on.

The  river is way high and moving fast , flood stage .
The great thing is those walleye are stacked in there like cordwood, we just have an extremely difficult time getting to them. Couple guys went out yesterday with lead head weights bouncing off the bottom and picked up a few limits. The thing is you just have to look for any kind of slack water, that’s where they will be set trying to get away from that heavy current.

If your going to toss a line in dont wade- too high and dangerous. Fish from shore.

Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing
