The river is down to a good fishable level today and should be flowing right about normal on thru the weekend.  At this level Buttonwood will be a good spot to try today, the catfish are starting to feast on crawfish as the water warms and they emerge from their spring hideouts. The abundance of crawfish in the Maumee River is a good sign of the health of the river as crawfish do not survive well in polluted waters.  We have live craws available for bait, last year at this time it was put one craw on the hook= one fish.  Those catfish and smallmouth bass love em. Also, it wouldn’t hurt to throw a tube bait or plastic crawfish,  these options entice the bite as well.
Orleans and White street areas both produced a few catfish and white perch yesterday and as the water drops the bite along the towpath should pick up as well.
