Two seasons ago we had massive ice  and snow and 16ft high Icebergs in the Maumee , last year it was rain-rain-rain  and resulting high water levels through whole month of march, this year its an abnormally warm February followed by a long very cold spell in March. The great thing is to see sportsmen adapt to these ever changing conditions and still pull in walleye.  Today the river conditions remain steady with the only change is that snow is expected throughout today and tommorow.
Still seeing  best times to trigger the bite over the weekend seems to be just after sunrise and just before sunset, its been slow throughout the day.  We saw fish brought in to the shop and reports of  quite a few anglers out on the river getting singles and doubles early yesterday.-Buttonwood, Bluegrass, Ford st and Jerome Rd Rapids are the best producing areas right now.The water level and all conditions are  holding steady and predicted to be about the same throughout  the coming week. All access areas should be available to fish.
