Yesterday there were very few anglers out on the river despite the good fishing conditions.  Good fishing conditions doesn’t always mean sunny and 85 degrees. Those that went out yesterday were rewarded with some white bass, white perch , smallmouth bass and catfish. The conditions look to be about the same thru the memorial day weekend so fishing ought to be decent. The water level has come up due to that heavy rain that hit  Fort Wayne two day ago so White street and Orleans Park ought to be producing some fish today. Probably wouldn’t hurt to give Buttonwood a try as well.
Live bait has been working very well the last few days ,Leeches, minnows and nightcrawlers on a slip bobber or just floated near the bottom have all produced a variety of species over the last few days, so that may be the first method to try this weekend. Some of your smaller crankbaits mimicking a minnow have also been working well.
