The cooler weather and rain the last few days has caused the water temp in all the local bodies of water to drop. The river is down to 68 degrees and even the Lake Erie surface temperature has dropped to 73 degrees and falling. This temp drop has already noticeably affected fishing for the better in the river and local ponds . Most especially the Small mouth and largemouth bass activity has gotten better.
I have had good reports from all over that the smallmouth have been biting all sorts of baits , spinners, small crankbaits, and live crawfish. Catfish are still very active biteing shad , shrimp, night crawlers and stinkbaits. Now just waiting to hear if this cool weather has the crappie bite on.

Lake Erie
Not much to report -the weather has been pretty bad out there the last few days. But the cooler temps should turn these yellow perch back on as soon as the winds die down and the water clears a bit.
