Maumee River
As the water level is down the action has slowed down a quite bit. The rain predicted the last few days  never arrived , so unfortunatly we are anticipating another slow day of white bass fishing.  Good news is that these are good conditions for small mouth bass fishing, tyhey cannnot be kept untill the 25th of June. Once we get that rain  the water level and current should pick up just enough to stimulate the white bass again.   All access areas are producing fish ,a variety of baits are working. Lead head with a chartreuse sparkle tail  , shimmer shad color tail or white power-bait tail seem to be the best colors. Rooster-tail and spinners and of course a minnow off the bottom. There were not very many anglers out on the river yesterday . but the beautifull weather will make for a great Memorial Day weekend to get out there and enjoy the river.
Weather forcast for the Maumee
Be safe , have fun and good luck fishing.
