The bite is starting to pick up! We didn’t hear too many reports of any luck at first cast, but it seemed to pick up early afternoon and into the evening. We saw quite a few singles brought up to the shop, as well as a few doubles and some even almost had a limit. Bluegrass Island and Buttonwood were the hot spots yesterday, that is where we heard the majority of our reports were from anyway. However, just because they are producing heavily in one spot does NOT mean they are ONLY there. Spread out, there are plenty of fish in there for everyone. Especially if you are new to the walleye run, do not feel like you have to fish in the “line” to catch a fish.
Today should be another good day, conditions are similar to yesterday. Meaning it’s going to be another absolutely beautiful day, so get out there and cast a line. That water temperature is rising nicely and with the upcoming rain we should start to see more walleye being pushed in. Thinking this weekend will be very good!
We are open 6:00am to 8:00pm, stop in with any questions, to restock, or to get some pictures!
Have fun, be safe and good luck fishing Â
