Maumee River Outfitters- (Grand Rapids,OH)- Closed for the season – Back in May 2025
Maumee river:
The river is very very very low, inches deep in some spots so in the mommy Perrysburg area there is not been a lot of very good fishing. However if you head up towards Grand Rapids just below the dam and above the dam you can get into some good catfish. as the nights begin to cool we get some rain in the next month or so we will start looking for some fall walleye and steelhead.
Lake erie:
Percher biting, we have seen some limits however about half of those limits are tiny little dinky non-keeping Perch. So ….do better . Optimal size is 8 inches or more. The best locations over the last week have been A can, B and D can. Of course that is subject to change depending on the wind. And we need some rain. As the nights get cooler the lake will begin to drop in temperature and we will see walleye coming in closer to shore to feed at night. Just about time for some night pier /shore Fishing.
Have fun, be safe, and good good luck fishing.
