This Saturday the shop hours change: 6 AM to 8 PM. Every single day from now on through the Walleye run.
No walleye yet, but a few guys been out trying.
Next Sunday is March 1, and regardless of the weather conditions the spring walleye spawning rules go into effect on Lake Erie and all tributaries. This includes the Maumee river.
Here’s the basic breakdown:
March 1 thru April 30
Fishing between sunrise and sunset only, no night fishing.
One hook no larger than a half inch, and one pole per angler.
Six walleye daily limit, 15 inches minimum size.
I will post the exact rules as we get closer to March 1. And as many of you know beginning next weekend I will post the daily sunrise times and sunset times, also known as first cast and last cast. In addition I will post recommended public Fishing areas, recommended Baits, pictures of the daily catch and much much more.
Have fun, be safe, and good luck fishing.
