2026 Maumee Tackle Tournament – April 11, 2026

We will be hosting a 1-Day tournament on April 11, 2026, weigh in a 3pm – 100% Payout.

It will be 2 man teams, $50 per team, and $10 per team for big jack. We will weigh your teams heaviest seven jacks (males).

Cash payout for 1st-3rd place, and Biggest Jack.

You can register online, or in store. If you register online you MUST come in store to sign the waiver PRIOR to the tournament. The last time to register online is April 10th – 7:30pm (you must come in before closing or before 6:30 on April 11th to sign), or in person April 11th – 6:30am.

When you come in to sign your waiver you will receive a raffle ticket, we will raffle offer a variety of items after weigh in.

This event will occur the same day as the City of Maumee’s first Walleye Fest – so there will be a 5k, food & beer trucks in the area as well!

Rules & Regulations:

  1. Tournament limit is seven(7) fish per team, jacks (males) only
  2. Start time is 7:01am (sunrise). Weigh-in is at 3pm. All contestants must be at the weigh-in and checked in at check-in table no later than 3pm or they will be disqualified. No fish will be weighed in before 3pm.
  3. All fish must be caught between Orleans Park and Jerome Road at Sidecut Metropark.
  4. Boaters must come to the shop for a boat inspection (safety equipment). We will open at 5am on the day of the tournament for inspection. Two Anglers per boat – ONLY 2 people allowed in boat.
  5. Each team member may keep their daily limit of 6 Walleye each. You must select your 7 heaviest male walleye before approaching the scales. Have your fish off the stringers please.
  6. No iced fish. All fish must be clean of any dirt, mud or debris. To retain best weight of your fish, it is wise to put them in a cooler with some river water or treated water. Alive fish are best but not part of the rules.
  7. All boats must be legally registered, and legally equipped with all required safety equipment and devices. The boat must be legally operated. Participants may be disqualified if they fail to be legally registered, or follow boating safety laws. 
  8. All participants MUST follow all OHIO fishing rules and regulations while fishing in the tournament. All fish must be legally caught. Any participant who receives a citation/ticket from an Ohio law enforcement agency regarding fishing and boating regulations will be immediately disqualified from the tournament
  9. Maumee Tackle LLC does not condone the consumption of alcohol or the illegal use of drugs while fishing and/or participating in this tournament. 
  10. By registering in this tournament, all participants agree to hold Maumee Tackle LLC, officials, staff and all other participants within the tournament harmless
  11. KEEP IT HONEST: ALL WALLEYES MUST BE FREE OF ANY SNAG MARKS. IF YOU CATCH A WALLEYE THAT HAS A SNAG MARK OR ANY CUT THAT LOOKS LIKE A SNAG MARK IT WILL NOT BE WEIGHED. PLEASE INSPECT YOUR FISH. WARTS ON FISH ARE NATURALLY OCCURRING AND WILL NOT BE LOOKED UPON AS SNAG MARKS, UNLESS OF COURSE IT HAS A CUT.  NO ICED FISH. ALL FISH MUST BE CLEAN OF ANY DIRT, MUD OR DEBRIS. TO RETAIN BEST WEIGHT OF YOUR FISH, IT IS WISE TO PUT THEM IN A COOLER WITH SOME RIVER WATER . ALIVE FISH ARE BEST BUT NOT PART OF THE RULES. NO PRE-CAUGHT FISH  THAT WERE STASHED  IN FISH BASKETS , TANKS OR PONDS  .  NO WEIGHTED FISH:STUFFED WITH ICE, SINKERS,EXTRA FISH/FILETS,OR BELLYS PUMPED FULL OF WATER. NO PURCHASED FISH.  NO FROZEN FISH. NO POOLING FISH/ USING THE BUDDY SYSTEM TO SPLIT THE PRIZE. AND IF THE ANGLER HAS A HISTORY OF SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR AT TOURNAMENTS THE ANGLERS ENTRY WILL BE REJECTED. -IT SUCKS WE HAVE TO MENTION ALL THIS ,BUT THAT’S THE WAY IT IS.
  12. All decisions by the tournament director are final
