Lots of anglers heading up north to get in on some of that salmon action.

Lake Erie:

Emerald shiners in stock

The perch are in there, however with the remnants of that hurricane and todays weather we have had about 2 solid weeks of wind that has made it difficult to fish. Friday was a solid day with perch being caught around the A-can area- jumbos at that.  Those “Fishing Addiction”  perch rigs tipped with a minnow(goldies or emeralds ) have been performing well. Your rig may need to be kept just about  on the bottom some days, while other days it may need to be just a crank or two off the bottom. Or you can try dropping down to bottom then slowly lifting your rig to get a bite.

Maumee River

Get ready for some fall steelhead-Fall (mid-September-November)-Good to excellent fishing  when the river cools and we have  have 8 to 12 inches of visibility-Jig with maggots, minnows, spawn bags, or flies fished underneath bobber, as well as spinners and spoons.

Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing
