The river only rose about 1 foot bring it up to good fishableÂ and kayaking levels.Â When the visibility is low, bass have to rely almost entirely on their lateral lines to feed â€“ which means you have to amp up your presentations to get their attention. The same baits may be effective, but youâ€™ve got to tweak them a little bit. Opt for spinnerbaitsÂ with blades that thump and vibrate a little better. Vibrating jigs, bulky plastics, and loud rattling cranks in the risingÂ water. It also pays off to use colors that will show up well in the murk â€“ like dark blacks and blues for plastics, or bright chartreuse’sÂ and oranges for spinnerÂ baits such as roostertails.Â
