Oh man! It was cold and rainy yesterday-felt like a cold November rain, it even snowed in a few areas. Regardless the white bass bite was good. Those anglers that geared up and hit the river were rewarded with buckets full, the bass were loving the weather.  It got cold last night (38 degrees) and the river has risen 4 feet in the last 24 hrs. so its up and moving fast. NO CROSSING TO BLUEGRASS ISLAND TODAY . Or the next few days for that matter. When the water comes up like this the fish like to lay up in some calmer water, for example the water back by Ft Meigs tucked behind the island. Swan creek will be a good option as well.

Big catfish love to hunt in this high water . Big cats like big baits, shad , bluegill and carp heads.

Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing.
