BLUEGRASS ISLAND:  Crossing to bluegrass Island  is not permitted.

Its that time of year when you can hit the river and pickup a limit of walleye and a a few white bass as well.

Drop a worm on a small hook near the bottom and bring home some white perch as well

I’ll say it again. –TIME TO FISH.

Forcythia bush :Look around the neighborhoods and you will see these natural walleye indicator  blooming.  SA llot of them bloomed early ( just like the run)a few weeks ago with this warm winter we had.  There is a relationship between the walleye running and the Forsythia bushes that are planted all around the area. I have heard that the Native Americans also used the the bloom of the plant as a gauge as to when to harvest the fish, Over the years I have kept an eye on the bloom and the peak of the run- and they do seem to be in sync.

Have fun be safe and good luck fishing.
