Like I said- the river should crest today.
A “crest” is the level at which a river peaks before it goes down.
We get asked alot “when will it go down?
Well rivers fall more slowly than they rise. How fast a river will fall after cresting depends on rainfall, and wind . If we get more rain, the river could rise and crest again. It is difficult to predict when a river will be back to normal. Either way midweek is looking very promising as all the logs , tree branches , moss, etc should be washed away .
If you have time this week should be prime to toss a line in.
LIKELY SPOTS:
Towpath, Orleans , white street, Ft Meigs, Ford street- give em a shot.
Whoop whoop! Got my first walleye of the season yesterday, the water looks really good. While it came up 4 feet, it’s not raging. I hooked into a few walleye closer to shore . Also Mr. Catfish smashed my bait, I thought I had a walleye coming in sideways till that beast came in close and I saw what it was.. pretty fun fight .
As always – Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing
