Happy Easter everyone – I am Often reminded of a particular bible verse at this time of year when spring is in the air an the river is FULL of walleye.
Luke 5:4-7 “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.†Simon answered, “Master(Jesus), we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.†When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.”
With out getting too theological I take away two simple things from this. First – Even the Apostles themselves got skunked and needed Jesus help to catch some fish. And second That a good portion of Jesus friends were fishermen.
That river is full of walleye and the day is going to be nice and warm.
We are fully stocked up with live bait. Bass Crappie and walleye are biting.
