Very cold and windy today, a few inches of snow but that hasn’t affected the river level although it did cause the river temp to drop last night-Walleyes are in the river but tough fishing because of this cold front, Its that time of year. We did have reports of  some walleye being caught-even a limit or two. But like I said this cold front has them reacting very slowly. As the week progress we are looking for temps to at least get above freezing , we will know more as the weekend approaches.  Right now the ones in there are hugging the bottom cause of the cold front–try a lead head jig tipped with white or shimmer shad to keep the bait right ion the bottom in front of their face.
