BLUEGRASS ISLAND- CROSSING NOT PERMITTED / NOT SAFE

Well  the experts all over the Internet say that the Walleye Run is over. But nobody bothered to tell these anglers, or the Walleye. So until mother nature decides, we keep fishing.

Limits with the early bite. Then 2-3 the rest of the day, with a few more limits near last cast.

The morning bite was particularly good the last two days . With Davis overlook and Jerome Rd. Rapids both being hotspots . The large floating jig heads seem to be working really well right now, Which is odd because usually this time of year is when the fish are looking for the smaller baits .  Been an odd year all around , That’s a great thing about it, every year is different.

Whoa ! Look at this beast! The other day just before that massive thunderstorm rolled in this beautiful crappie was caught. I’m telling you -that pre storm barometric pressure is the best time ever to fish . He took the pic and tossed it back in ,by the way.

Some nice lake and pond bass being caught right now as well.

We are stocked up with a fresh batch of emerald shiners. All the worms you need . and crawfish leech’s as soon as it gets warmer.

have fun, be safe and good luck fishing
