Maumee River report..21 jun 21

Fun Fun in thes sun! This weekend was great! Good weather for kayaking and the fish were biting.  

Minnows – $2.99

Nightcrawlers- $2.45 per doz

The water is low  right now limiting our trips both in grand rapids and Maumee. We need some rain- not the patchy cloud bursts here and there but a good region soaking  system to come through.  That’ll bring up the river level a bit and allow us to do some longer trips.  Regardless we had some good fun and lots of smilling faces out here this past Fathers day weekend.

Drop a  night crawler or a crawfish in the rapids or any slightly faster moving wather and hang on!  The slower water doesnt have much action right now. Rapids are cooler and more oxygenated so the fish are hanging aroungd there just waiting to smash the next critter coing  down stream. We dropped in a lead head with a crawlwer and caught all sorts of fish.
