Yesterday was cold and windy so the river temp dropped about one full degree. And more ore less stayed at about the same water level- so its still running high.

Cool this morning, but sunny and 50 degrees  forecast for today, with the best thing being wind becoming light 5 to 10 west to s.w. tonight, probably the same  for tomorrow just a little warmer.

We saw a video of some walleye caught out of the Sandusky river  up closer to lake Erie . This bodes well for us it means this warm muddied up Maumee river water (41 degrees) flowing into a cold (34 degree) lake Erie has started to trigger that instinct and a few early runners have started to move upstream.

Some anglers were in this morning and were heading out to Orleans park and White street –These are probably the 2 best areas to try your luck during high water.

One of the most successful baits that we see used here in the Maumee river are the scented Berkley power grub. Firetiger and Christmas Light colors being the most popular. I have them available on the website but for some reason only black shows available.  I have plenty of every color in stock so give us a call and I can ship them or hold them  for you for when you come in for your fishing trip. $3.99 per bag.

Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing.
