Run-off from rain carries all kinds of food in the form of worms and other crawling critters into a river. The increase in river flow also stirs small aquatic creatures from their living places. These circumstances often put fish into feeding mode. As the water becomes murky and in many cases cools off, larger fish seem to move more freely about the river.
A lot of fish were caught yesterday, despite the river being very low. We need some rain, hopefully the weather forecast is correct and we see some that gets the river up a bit.
With this slow water you don’t need a lot of weight 1/2 ounce, and 5/8 ounce are about just right.
Have fun , be safe and good luck fishing
