Hit the high water areas for white bass. Orleans park in Perrysburg. White street and Ft . Miami’s(Corey St.) in Maumee.
Walleye are biting at Buttonwood.
When high water occurs, you will want to make a move into the many flooded sloughs and backwater areas all along the river . when you pick out a backwater area or slough, try and find ones that have a limited current flow. Areas of running current will not hold as many fish as those areas that are away from fast current. A great local area is right behind the peninsula (looks like and island ) at Ft. Meigs. Park at the Ft Meigs lot and hike back a bit into the slower water and give it a shot. White bass and crappie tuck in there when the water is up like this. As far as baits, stick with small ice jig-type lures tipped with waxworms. Fish suspending them under a small float, and you’re in business. When you find one crappie, there will likely be more.
