Maumee River Report:

TEMP- 46 degrees

Barometer: 29.65 inHg and rising

Wading to Bluegrass Island is possible

Clarity-9 inches

Seven days in a row we have seen walleye caught in the Maumee River- no limits but plenty of 1s and 2s. Yesterday the ambient temp dropoed to 33 degrees, about a 35 degree temp drop in one day , but the water temp was in the high 40s. We had reports of only a few walleye  caught during the day -plenty of carp and suckers though.

Withe slow and low water a 36- 48 inch leader , 1/2 , 5/8 or 3/4 weight and with the cloudy day use some darker colors. The berkly power baits Xmas lights seemed to work well yesterday  on a orange head. Also green head /motor oil tail caught a few.

Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Southwest wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Southwest wind 9 to 15 mph.
A slight chance of showers after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 46. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Have fun, be safe and good luck fishing
