Catfish , bluegill and crappie are biting .
The last week the bluegill have been on their beds . Panfish strongly favor sand or gravel bottom substrate for bedding so they can fan out a bed. A bed is simply a depression on the bottom for females to deposit eggs that is guarded by the big male panfish you will be targeting. A bluegill bed can consist of a dozen or more of these beds in close proximity. These males are aggressive and will attack and bite lures/bait dropped near the bed.
Have fun be safe and good luck fishing
