The Annual Walleye Run has become an Internationally known event. In and effort to promote our local communities the cities of Perrysburg and Maumee have decided to sponsor the first annual WALLEYE FESTIVAL this coming April 28-29-30th. with some events beginning April 22nd.
We will be assisting in two of the events going on that week .
The First is the 6th Annual Maumee high school vs Perrysburg high school fishing tournament on Saturday April 22nd. The intent is to promote good fellowship between the two schools- 2 longest walleye and 2 longest white bass combo wins- FREE Registration and rules available here at Maumee Tackle And I will post the entire rules ,format and prizes separately.
The second is also a Maumee vs Perrysburg all resident ‘ Longest Jack(male walleye)Tournament “-running from Mon April 24th to Sat April 29th -Free registration and daily weigh in/ measuring here at Maumee Tackle as well. I will also puplish a seperate post with these details and prizes($250 Gift certificate to Maumee tackle And some free taxidermy being included).
Then thru the weekend of 28th-30th there will be a 5k , wine tastings and all sorts of events going on for the whole family.
And MORE – on April 22nd Schroeder farms on the Perrysburg side will be hosting the 3rd annual MAC tournament -grand prize $1500 . Sign ups available at Schroeders farm.
And of course The 27th annual Maumee Tackle Tournament and appreciation day April 15th .
