As shown above, the river is running low, perfect for a day out bobber fishing for some catfish and smallmouth bass. With this warm water look for some areas that have some current , the fish are looking for that cooler oxygenated water coming off the rapids and riffles.
At quick tip for pond fishing- Don’t overcomplicate things
The best thing about fishing small ponds is you can keep everything simple without having to spend a lot of money.
Pond bass are notorious for being fairly indiscriminate feeders. The majority of ponds experience little to no fishing pressure, resulting in a lot of big, uneducated bass. All you’ll really need to catch summer pond bass are spinnerbaits, topwater frogs and big worms.
