Big Jack contest has started. No entry fee just bring in the biggest male that you have . We will weigh it , record you in the book and at the end of the week the heaviest jack of the week wins the $25 gift certificate to the shop. Winner for the month gets another $50 gift certificate.

 

Looking to be a beautiful day today. Nice warm temperatures, the river has crested and is dropping.

Play hooky , call in sick , fake a cough..its time to fish.

Looks like a nice big fresh push of walleye is finally made it into the river. In case you didn’t know last year after the walleye run the Toledo Metro Parks completed a project of complete paving most of the tow path in the Maumee area.  Cleared out all the brush along the banks and made for nice easy walking, Lots of new spots to get out and hook into these walleye.
